It’s not hard to find yourself moving and grooving at a pace that feels a little too fast sometimes. When that happens, we like to get intentional and take some time to slow down. You can do that by taking a walk, reading a book or simply relaxing with a coffee or tea in a local cafe. The ones on this list are great for that!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. This cute cafe is a great spot to hang out for a while. In fact, even if you don't intend to you may end up here for a few hours. The baristas know their thing and it's a great environment for working remotely.

Whatever you have in mind about cafes only offering coffee will surely be removed when you visit this spot. Their food is hearty and you definitely won't leave hungry. Try the steak house salad with seared short rib, romaine, cherry tomato, english cucumbers, corn, sliced avocado, hard-boiled egg, chives, ranch dressing, crumbled blue cheese and a balsamic drizzle.

This local spot is a great place to meet pals for a meal or just a few cups of coffee. It has a real local flair and we love the maple latte!

Unlike some other cafes that shut their doors once the early afternoon rush comes to an end, we love that this is also a bar in the evening. Enjoy a breakfast sandwich and coffee in the morning, then head back for a beer and some live tunes at night.

One of our favorite things to do in a cozy cafe is to read a book. If you agree, this is the spot for you! Not only can you get a drink and something to eat, but you can also pick up a new read at their onsite bookstore. The best of all worlds!

Whether it's a light morning breakfast or a more hearty lunch, you'll find it here. Visit when it's warm outside and enjoy their lovely outdoor seating area.

Have a hankering for something sweet? This is the place! These sweet rolls are something you'll come back to try over and over again. And, we love the good vibes here.

Oh, the sweet goodness of a locally baked treat! You'll find that here, as well as sandwiches and some seriously great drinks. This is a great spot to enjoy outside during warmer weather.
