In some states talking about the weather is considered “filler” or simply a way to break the ice. Here in New Hampshire, talking about the weather is actually an important conversation. In the winter we want to know what type of snow season we’re going to have to live with. And, after all that cold, we want to keep up with what to expect for summer. This year? Expect more of the warmer temps we saw this winter!

We all braced ourselves for a difficult winter, only to find that it was really quite mild. But what does that mean for the rest of the year? Pretty much...the same! At least according to the Farmer's Almanac.

As expected, the coldest parts of the winter were felt in early to mid-January, late January, and early February. But, looks like things will be warming up for spring and summer!

April and May are predicted to have below-normal rainfall, which is great for spending time outside. And it also looks like temps will be at least a bit warmer than average. While April will be about what we expect, you can look for May to see temps about 4-degrees higher than normal. We'll take it after winter!

Summer temps will also be high. Mid-June is expected to be at least 2-degrees warmer than normal, but July will be the big one!

As we get into early to mid-July expect to see temperatures far above average. At least 4-degrees higher than what we're used to.

Things in August will return to normal, but look for precipitation to be much higher than normal.

As we ease into fall, expecting temperatures to cool we might be disappointed. The predictions see October to be higher in temperature and rainfall!

There are some murmurs of tropical storms being a threat in the fall, but we'll hold off on worrying about that for now. Instead, we'll be planning our summer outings with some extra SPF!
