Listen up, rest of the country. We know what you think about us. We’re miserable sitting here while the we watch the temperatures drop all around us. When it’s not snowing, it’s icing. When it’s not icing, it’s raining. And when it’s not raining…well, it’s just boring. Once the summer is over, there’s nothing here for you in New Hampshire. It’s a tundra. A wasteland. And it’s better if you just stay home. Rather than come to the Granite State, you might as well just enjoy where you are. We’ll handle things here on our own. What are we contending with? This…

It's all white and ice, delicately hanging off the trees in our plentiful forests. What's nice about that? Why would anyone want to surround themselves with that sort of scenery?

There's nothing to do outside. It's too cold, too snowy and far too windy. And besides, it's always cloudy anyway.

If you've been to one New Hampshire town in the winter, you've been to them all. In fact, if you've been to any other place in New England, you might as well skip New Hampshire all together. There's nothing quaint, nothing special. Nothing more to see here. Just keep on going.

Other states have music acts, traveling Broadway shows. But, not in New Hampshire. We never get anything special. Especially not any magnificent, otherworldly art installation ice sculptures. Definitely none of those here.

Everything hibernates in the winter. We all know that. The only animals you'll see are your own pets.

You're stuck at home all the time. Basically trapped.

There are certainly no beautiful journeys through the forest and countryside. Especially not being led by horses on a magical sleigh.

The people here have to stock up all spring and summer to make it through the winter. With the rivers and lakes frozen, fishing is absolutely off limits.

Guess it's lucky that there's no way to fish for food.

There's no color of any variety. You can say goodbye to happiness.
