Located along the beautiful Truckee River, Reno's Riverwalk District is a must-visit for any Nevadan. There's never a bad time to explore it, but if you love wine then you'll definitely want to consider planning around the next Reno Wine Walk.
The Wine Walk is a popular attraction in the Biggest Little City among locals and travelers alike. It takes place every third Saturday of the month from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and it's tons of fun from beginning to end.
Hosted by the Riverwalk Merchants Association, the walk takes place right along the Truckee River. The walk itself is easy and fun to follow. To start the adventure, participants must visit one of the participating businesses, such as Sierra Tap House or Urban Market.
Next, participants must present a valid ID and pay the Wine Walk fee of $20. This gets you a wristband, a map, and a wine glass. You'll then set off on a 3-hour long adventure to the different Wine Walk destinations.
There are a wide array of participating locations to choose from, including iconic Riverwalk destinations like Antonio's Mexican Grill, Pizza Reno, Crafted Palette, and 5 Star Saloon. Where you go is totally up to you and what type of experience you'd like to have.
If you sample at least five wines, you can fill out the back your map and be entered into a raffle at the specified host location. But do be sure to pace yourself and take plenty of time to explore the area's many shops!
