The museum's main attraction are the regularly schedules train rides which provide an experience unlike any other. Passengers can enjoy a 90-minute ride that departs from Ely and travels through Robinson Canyon. The ride is a thrill for all members of the family. Some trains even get held up by "outlaws" in Wild West attire. You'll feel as if you've really traveled back in time.
The museum hosts a variety of "Hands On History" events throughout the year. The events give visitors the opportunity to explore original train equipment up close and learn all about these historic locomotives.

The Nevada Northern Railway was originally built in 1905 and was used mainly to reach the copper producing areas in White Pine County. It's crazy to think that trains have been leaving this station for over a century!
