Situated near the beginning of the highway, the Alien Research Center is a popular stop for E.T. enthusiasts on the way to Area 51. Although its name implies that you might be walking in on an alien dissection of some sort, the Alien Research Center is actually a gift shop that's filled with alien-themed items.
There's no way you'll miss the gift store's iconic shed-like building, complete with a giant silver alien greeting you by the front door. We can't think of a better place to act as a gateway to the Extraterrestrial Highway's bizarre treasures!
Once inside, you'll find yourself surrounded by all sorts of alien items. From t-shirts and hats to mugs and magnets, you won't be able to resist purchasing yourself a weird souvenir as a reminder of your visit.
While there may not be any official research taking place at this wacky pitstop, you'll still find mass amounts of information on aliens and the famous Area 51. Check out the center's vast selection of books and reading materials, or strike up a conversation with one of the store's alien experts!
