Many of Nevada’s residents are extremely wealthy. With that being said, Nevada also has many low-income residents. According to recent IRS data, the residents of the following 10 cities in Nevada bring in the least amount of income.

Indian Springs is an unincorporated town in Clark County, and in 1906, it became a way station and watering place for the Las Vegas and Tonopah Railroad. According to recent IRS data, Indian Springs had $5,692 for its "Income per Return" and $6,000 for its "Salary per Return." The number of returns filed in Indian Springs was 26.
The town of Denio is situated on the Nevada-Oregon state line in Humboldt County. According to recent IRS data, Denio had $7,951 for its "Income per Return" and $19,586 for its "Salary per Return." The number of returns filed in Denio was 41.
Nellis AFB is located in southern Nevada and has more squadrons that any other USAF base. According to recent IRS data, Nellis AFB had $14,839 for its "Income per Return" and $14,035 for its "Salary per Return." The number of returns filed at Nellis AFB was 925.
Paradise Valley is located in Humboldt County near the Santa Rosa Ranger District of Humboldt National Forest. According to recent IRS data, Paradise Valley had $15,274 for its "Income per Return" and $19,250 for its "Salary per Return." The number of returns filed in Paradise Valley was 95.

Tuscarora, named for a warship from the Civil War, is an unincorporated community in Elko County. According to recent IRS data, Tuscarora had $16,659 for its "Income per Return" and $21,324 for its "Salary per Return." The number of returns filed in Tuscarora was 82.
Located on U.S. Highway 95, between Hawthorne and Mina, is Luning, an unincorporated town in Mineral County. According to recent IRS data, Luning had $18,529 for its "Income per Return" and the info regarding its "Salary per Return" was unavailable. The number of returns filed in Luning was 17.
Mountain City is a small unincorporated community in Elko County, within the Mountain City Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. According to recent IRS data, Mountain City had $18,551 for its "Income per Return" and $25,118 for its "Salary per Return." The number of returns filed in Mountain City was 49.
Nixon, located in Washoe County, is the seat of tribal government of the Paiute Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation. According to recent IRS data, Nixon had $18,901 for its "Income per Return" and $17,814 for its "Salary per Return." The number of returns filed in Nixon was 162.
Many places in Nevada have a much lower cost of living than others. For these particular places, low-income residents can make do. Larger cities have a much higher cost of living. For these particular places, low-income residents might have a harder time. However, those working in larger cities normally bring home a larger paycheck vs. those working in smaller towns.
Overall, Nevada is an affordable place to live. Not to mention, it’s also one of the BEST places to live!
