Zip lines have become all the rage in recent years, and Las Vegas has embraced the trend. In addition to the fairly new downtown Fremont Street experience SlotZilla zip line, a new and exciting zip line adventure at the Linq on the famed Las Vegas strip is currently in the works.
The new zip line will be constructed to take riders through the Linq Promenade.
The Linq is located at 3535 Las Vegas Boulevard South between Harrah's and the Flamingo and across the street from Caesars Palace.
XVentureLV is the company in charge of designing and running operations for the Fly Linq. It is working in conjunction with Themed Development Management that designed the Slotzilla zip line on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas as well as the Linq's High Roller.
Here are a few artist renderings of what the new zip line will look like when completed.
The attraction will feature ten side-by-side lines that will launch all riders simultaneously from the 122-foot high (12-story) platform. Riders can sit or ride "superhero" style along 1,080 feet of zip line at 35 miles per hour.
Caesar's Entertainment reports that ticket prices have not yet been determined, and there will likely be packages to include other area attractions like the High Roller and the Paris' Eiffel Tower experience.
Zip lines and other thrill rides are quite crowd-favored in southern Nevada. The Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon zip line in Boulder City (pictured) is quite popular. Another zip line and ropes course in Overton also attracts many visitors. The California side of Lake Tahoe also boasts a few zip line adventures.
In fact, Steve Wynn is planning a zip line as part of his upcoming Paradise Park project, and a new 13-acre park in Summerlin is also planning a zip line.
Needless to say, there is ample excited buzz about this new and exciting zip line adventure. What are your thoughts?
