So who exactly is Tom Devlin and why does he have such an extensive monster collection? Devlin has been working professionally as a special makeup effects artist since 2001. He's worked on countless feature films and appeared in the SyFy reality series "Face Off". Monsters are his passion and he wants to share his passion with the world.
As you walk through the museum, you'll feel as if you've landed right into the world of the horror movies that you grew up watching. The museum's exhibits feature pieces from classic horror movies such as Hellraiser, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Child's Play, and so much more.
The museum is a collection of original pieces by Devlin of the monsters that have inspired him in the past. However, there is also an extensive exhibit of screen-used props from films that Devlin has worked on.
It's clear that this place is a true labor of love by Devlin. This place is definitely no gimmick. It's a love letter to the films that have inspired horror enthusiasts across the world and it's simply amazing.
Who said you could only celebrate horror during the month of October? Here at the monster museum, it's Halloween all day, every day! The museum is open seven days a week from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Admission is $13 for adults and free for children 10 years and under.
