Nevada is fortunate to host a variety of festivals. Listed below are nine upcoming festivals in Nevada that are well known for their amazing food.


The annual Pure Aloha Festival is a celebration of Polynesian food, music and culture. In addition to delicious food, attendees will enjoy live Hawaiian music and entertainment. The Pure Aloha Festival will take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino from April 14, 2016 to April 17, 2016.


The Great American Foodie Fest is a compilation of some of the best specialty food vendors, restaurants and gourmet food trucks from all around the United States, and they've been featured on a variety of television stations, including the Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel. At this unique festival, guests will enjoy live entertainment, eating competitions, etc. The Great American Foodie Fest will take place at Sunset Station Hotel & Casino from April 28, 2016 to May 1, 2016.


The San Gennaro Feast is the biggest Italian food and music festival held bi-annually. It features a variety of ethnic food vendors, arts and crafts, home exhibits, pony rides, a petting zoo, amusement rides, etc. The 37th Annual San Gennaro Feast will take place at Craig Ranch Park from May 4, 2016 to May 8, 2016.


From May 7, 2016 to May 8, 2016, the Reno River Festival will be held in downtown Reno at Wingfield Park. Sure, whitewater kayaking competitions are the main reason for the Reno River Festival, but this annual festival is so much more. If you don't feel like getting into the river, there are many other wonderful things this festival offers, including free music and lots of food and drinks.


The Springs Preserve Ice Cream Festival celebrates America's favorite treat. This one-day, family-friendly event features all-you-can-eat ice cream, in addition to sundaes and floats. Festival attendees will also enjoy hands-on arts and crafts, pony rides, carnival games and a photo booth. An ice cream eating contest will be emceed by 98.5 KLUC's Chet Buchanan. The Springs Preserve Ice Cream Festival will take place at Springs Amphitheater on May 21, 2016.


This summer, the National Basque Festival will be held July 1, 2016 through July 3, 2016. Attendees of this festival will get to experience delicious food, outstanding music and wonderful dancing. At this annual event, there will also be a firework display, 5K run, a parade and a picnic.


The 4th Annual Biggest Little City Wing Fest will take place in downtown Reno from July 2, 2016 to July 4, 2016. This popular event will feature three days of eating chicken wings, live entertainment and several street vendors.


At the Nugget Casino Resort, from August 31, 2016 to September 5, 2016, guests will get to sample all-you-can-eat ribs from every rib vendor at the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off. Festival attendees will also receive delicious side dishes, desserts and all-you-can-responsibly drink beverages such as beer and wine.


Each fall, the Eldorado Resort Casino brings the flavors of Italy to downtown Reno during the Eldorado Great Italian Festival. The Eldorado Great Italian Festival celebrates Italian culture and traditions. A favorite event at the festival is the Great Italian Festival Sauce Cook-Off. Many street vendors will be offering traditional Italian specialties, including homemade pastas, deep-fried ravioli, garlic bread, chicken Parmesan, etc. The Eldorado Great Italian Festival will take place from October 8, 2016 to October 9, 2016.
