With the holiday season already upon us, it’s officially time to start counting down to all of our favorite holiday traditions! For many families, the Polar Express offered by V&T Railway is a treasured annual event. Regrettably, the Polar Express will not be offered this year. Instead, the beloved railway will be hosting Santa’s Drive-Thru Village, a complete drive-thru event that will deliver just as much joy and holiday cheer. Here’s everything you need to know about the new drive-thru experience!

Witness the V&T Railway in Carson City transform into the North Pole when you enter Santa's Drive-Thru Village this holiday season. Offered on select evenings in December, we simply can't wait to see what this new experience has to offer!
This year, make it your mission to head to the Eastgate Depot to see Santa and his elves hard at work. V&T Railway's drive-thru experience is scheduled for December 11-13 and December 18-24, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
During this unique holiday extravaganza, guests will remain in their car as they drive through a train depot that's been completely decked out to resemble the North Pole. You're bound to see some familiar face from the comfort of your car, including Old St. Nick himself!
Tickets can be reserved by calling the railway at 877-724-5007, or by visiting their website. Tickets cost $20 per vehicle, so feel free to pack as many people into your car as you can to enjoy this spectacular show.
The depot will also feature a spectacular display of multi-colored Christmas lights. We recommend bringing a thermos of hot cocoa and dressing in your favorite holiday pajamas for the ultimate experience!
Although the Polar Express may not be physically running this year, you can still enjoy the popular tradition from your own home. V&T Railway is offering a Polar Express Family Fun Package that includes four ceramic souvenir mugs, hot chocolate mix, cookies, silver bells, golden tickets, and the official Polar Express DVD.
