Springs Preserve in Clark County has long proven itself to be a hotspot of family-friendly fun. One of their most beloved attractions—the Butterfly Habitat—is in full-swing right now and you don't want to miss it.
Every year, visitors can walk through this seasonal exhibit and be transported to an enchanting forest of stunning butterflies. Here you can witness free-flying butterflies zooming through the air all around you. And yes, it's just as magical as it sounds!
This year, the butterfly exhibit is open daily through May 27, 2019. It's open to visitors from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, and admission is just $2 for members and $3 for non-members. Not only is this a fun outing that all members of the family can enjoy, but it's cheap too.
Nothing beats being completely surrounded by hundreds of these lovely creatures. Most importantly, you'll emerge with a better understanding of just how important these little insects are to our environment and what's needed for their survival.
Make a game of it and see how many different types of butterflies you can identify. The Painted Lady is always striking, with black and white-spotted orange wings. And the Tropical Blue Wave is mesmerizing with stripes of white throughout their electric blue wings.
The habitat is filled with butterfly-friendly plants and plenty of butterfly food. It's a lovely sight to see, and you may even walk away with some ideas of how to attract some butterflies to your own backyard.
Your spring season simply won't be complete until you see this wonderful exhibit for yourself. Both young and old will be absolutely enchanted with these gorgeous bugs, so plan a visit to the Springs Preserve soon! You'll find them at 333 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas, NV.
