We’ve had some recent snow fall in Nevada which means there will be lots of great opportunities for outdoor winter fun! Snow sledding and tubing are great options for people who may not enjoy skiing and snowboarding but want to feel the thrill of going downhill. Here are several places in Nevada known to be good choices for snow sledding and tubing.


This beautiful park is located near Reno. Sledding and tubing can be done although there are few "big" hills. It's also a great spot to play in the snow, hike and cross-country ski. The park is located at 18250 Mount Rose Highway in Reno.


Tahoe Meadows is also known as the start of the Tahoe Rim Trail. It's a terrific spot for sledding and tubing, as well as other snow fun. Certain spots are for snow mobile use only so be sure to avoid those when sledding. To get there, take State Route 431 AKA the Mount Rose Highway going south of Reno. You can find lots of free parking along the road where the meadows are.
