These Epic Water Parks In Nevada Will Take Your Summer To A Whole New Level
Summer is quickly approaching and it’s time to plan how to keep the kids occupied while they are on summer vacation from school, or even planning the family vacation. For Nevadans—or folks traveling to or through Nevada—here are three epic water parks guaranteed to add considerable sun and fun to your summer.
1. Wet'n'Wild, 7055 S. Fort Apache Rd., Las Vegas (702) 979-1600
Las Vegas' Wet'n'Wild is a 20-acre water park extravaganza featuring over 25 water slides and attractions. Among the most popular are the Tornado, a premier slide where riders can experience zero gravity; the Rattler, a four-person slide with unique rattles that shake riders back and forth; and the extreme water slide Constrictor that features some of the tightest turns of any water park.
One of The Travel Channel's Best Water Parks in the U.S., Wild Island has attractions for kids and adults and some of the most thrilling water slides in the country. There is also bowling at the Coconut Bowl, go karts, arcade, and miniature golf on-site to end a wonderful day.
With more than 25 water slides and attractions, a wave pool, lazy river, kids' area, and even VIP cabana rentals, Cowabunga Bay has consistently been voted Las Vegas' best water park.
Owners have begun renovation and expansion on the park to add another 50,000 square feet by expanding the bowling alley and adding more water slides and dining options. Construction is to begin in May 2017 and be completed by summer 2018. The park will remain open during construction.
Even though Nevada only has three true water parks, these three are incredible and chock full of wet summer fun for the entire family. Have you visited any of these water parks? Please share your comments below.
