With autumn rapidly approaching, thoughts of day trips turn from swimming holes and summer campgrounds to places where one can catch a glimpse of the changing foliage and enjoy the cooler, crisp air. From family farms where you can pick your own pumpkins and enjoy an old-fashioned corn maze to small-town Nevada with stunning scenery to area lakes and mountains, here are 10 perfect fall day trips to take in Nevada.

9. Bowers Mansion Regional Park, Washoe Valley
Located between Reno and Carson City on Old Highway 395, this park has expansive lawns and huge shade trees that are stunning in the autumn and a picture perfect place for an autumn picnic. You can finish out your fun day trip with a tour of the historic Bowers Mansion.
10. Floyd Lamb City Park, Las Vegas
This expansive, 2,040-acre park located about 20 miles north of the Las Vegas Strip has acres of lush lawns, cottonwood trees, stocked ponds, scenic paths, barbecue grills, volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits for an autumn day of family fun.
