Ask native Nebraskans what phrase they associate with our state and you’re bound to hear “The Good Life.” These three little words were our state’s slogan at one time; since then, our tourism board has proclaimed that we’re “Nebraska Nice” and cheekily claimed that “Honestly, it’s not for everyone.” Still, the Welcome to Nebraska sign bears those familiar old words, and we think they’re the most accurate way to welcome people to the Cornhusker State.
