Have An Old World Christmas At This Charming Historic Village In Nebraska

There are some pretty well-known recreated pioneer villages and historic towns in Nebraska. One of the most beloved is the 1890s Railroad Town at Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer in Grand Island. The town offers education and entertainment all year round, but it becomes something totally magical at Christmas.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

This year, visitors can enjoy the festivities December 2 (members only night), 3, 9, 10, and 11. Admission is free with your museum membership or $7 for ages 3 and up. For more information, including a live music schedule, visit the museum’s website.
