The Holiday Lights Festival started out as a celebration of the millennium in 2000, but it was so popular that the city has brought it back every year. The Shine The Light On Hunger event coincides with the festival. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food to the ice skating rink or various collection barrels in the community.
