We’re in the middle of autumn here in the Cornhusker State, and the fall foliage is fading fast. It’s time to get out there and bask in the beauty of the season before it’s gone, and one of the best places to do that is Indian Cave State Park. In addition to the cave petroglyphs, the park is full of the stunning jewel tones of fall.
Indian State Park is one of the prettiest jewels in the Nebraska state park system and it's particularly lovely during autumn months.
During your exploration of the park, keep an eye out for wildlife. You're likely to see deer here, as well as wild turkeys, woodchucks, beavers, and a host of birds.
Venture to the scenic overlook on Loop Road to get a good overall view of the park.
You can camp at Indian State Park year-round, so there's no need to leave at the end of the day. Bring your tent to stay in a primitive site, or bring your RV.
