Devour The Best Homemade Sticky Buns At Christie’s Kitchen, A Small-Town Bakery In Nebraska
We’re not sure it’s possible to live in Nebraska and not love baked goods. Our parents and grandparents grew up making everything from scratch, and we never stop craving that homemade goodness. Next time the craving for a sticky bun, cinnamon roll, or other baked treat hits, trek out to Ravenna for one of the best bakeries you’ve never tried.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. Nestled in the little town of Ravenna, not too far from Kearney or Grand Island, Christie's Kitchen is a sweet little bakery that may just remind you of Mom's or Grandma's kitchen.
The skills she learned at home have served her well at this delightful cafe and bakery. One bite and you'll understand exactly why locals can't get enough of these treats.
If you're looking for something a little heartier than a baked treat, opt for breakfast instead. There's a complete breakfast menu including biscuits and gravy, French toast, eggs, breakfast meats, and more. (You should definitely still take home a roll or two, though.)
Find Christie’s Kitchen at 324 Grand Ave, Ravenna, NE. The cafe/bakery is only open Tuesday-Friday, 6 a.m. – 11 a.m., so plan ahead to get there early and have your pick of the pastries. Visit the restaurant’s Facebook page for specials and news.
Why not take a little road trip that starts (or ends) around Ravenna? This is one scenic drive you’ll want to experience at least once.
