Uh Oh… Here Are The 15 Drunkest Counties In Nebraska
It sure seems like going out for a night of drinking is one of our favorite activities here in Nebraska. Have you ever wondered if everyone else is having as many nights out as you are? The folks at County Health Rankings & Roadmaps put together the statistics on just how many heavy drinkers there are in each of Nebraska’s counties, and Find The Home compiled information on how many bars each county has per capita. Together, these numbers make up the criteria for the 15 drunkest counties in Nebraska.

In Polk County, 22% of folks say they are heavy drinkers. The county has just under 8 bars per capita, which is right on par with the rest of Nebraska.

In Burt County, 22% of residents report that they are excessive drinkers. There are around 12 bars per capita here, which is 60% more than the Nebraska average.

Of Otoe County residents, 22% are excessive drinkers. There are more than 15 bars per capita here, which is 2.2 times the Nebraska average.

Platte County's population includes 23% who drink excessively. There are 11 bars per capita, which is 50% more than the state average.

In Dixon County, you'll find 23% of folks who report being heavy drinkers. The county's 15 bars per capita amount to two times the Nebraska average.

24% of Chase County residents engage in excessive drinking. Their number of bars, however, is actually less than the state average.

24% of Thurston County residents drink excessively, but the county only has an average number of bars as compared to the rest of the state.

In Fillmore County, 24% of residents are heavy drinkers. The county has about 9 bars per capita, which is average for the state.

Of Gage County residents, 24% drink to excess. The county's 11-ish bars per capita are 53% more than the state's average.

In Saunders County, 25% of residents are heavy drinkers. The county has just over 9 bars per capita, which is 23% more than Nebraska's average.

In Stanton County, 26% of the population say they are excessive drinkers. The county houses an average number of bars as compared with the rest of Nebraska.

26% of Cedar County residents drink excessively. The county's 10.24 bars per capita add up to about 38% more than the Nebraska average.

Of the residents in Butler county, 27% say they drink excessively. There are 15.6 bars per capita here, which is 2.1 times as many as the state average.

27% of Nancy County residents are excessive drinkers, which may be due to the fact that there are 3.3 times as many bars here per capita as the Nebraska average.

Coming in at number one of Nebraska's drunkest counties, 28% of Arthur County residents are heavy drinkers.
