White Oak Canyon Falls is a remarkable waterfall in Virginia that offers adventure for everyone.
Those looking to take their experience of a waterfall trail to a whole new level might consider zipping down a natural waterslide.
To get there, you'll want to hike the Cedar Run Trail portion of the White Oak Canyon Trail. The entire trail is over 7 miles, but where we're headed is about a quarter that length.
Explorers should note that the trail is well-marked; however, it is considered to be strenuous. Be sure to wear proper footwear, bring plenty of water, and take the trail at a comfortable pace.
Before long, you'll have reached an incredible attraction: a natural waterslide in Virginia. The slide is slate that's been worn down over time, making for a smooth slide down into a pool of water below.
The pool of water is typically no more than 10 feet deep, making it a relatively safe area for most people comfortable with some swimming.
Be sure to always bring a swimming buddy with you, though!
After you finish your swim, you can continue exploring the area's other stunning falls.
There's so much to discover in this region of Virginia!
