The Northeast Kingdom is well known as a destination to get away from it all and for good reason. If you're looking for a great place to unplug, we've got the place for you. Maidstone State Park is Vermont's most remote park and you'll absolutely love the peace and quiet you'll find here. Originally formed when the last of the glaciers melted about 12,000 years ago, the lake was formed and the area remains largely untouched.
Let's head over to Guildhall to take a look at this stunning and remote State Park.
Maidstone became a State Park in 1938 and many of the areas constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps are still in use today.
You'll find this hidden gem located at 5956 Maidstone Lake Road in Guildhall. Be aware that the dirt road into the park is about 6 miles long and you're clearly going into a remote and isolated spot.
