Everything is bigger in Texas, including our family-friendly activities. Located at the iconic Natural Bridge Caverns in San Antonio, Twisted Trails is the world's largest explorer challenge course and outdoor sky trail. It has ropes, ziplines, climbing walls, and tons more thrilling obstacles, promising a heart-pounding adventure for all ages.
Added to the park in early 2020, Twisted Trails at Natural Bridge Caverns is the world's largest outdoor sky trail and explorer course.
It's 60 feet tall and boasts four levels of thrilling obstacles, promising boundless adventure for the whole family.
The challenges you'll face include rope ladders, balance beams, and wobbly bridges that feel as if they could give out at any moment.
How you navigate the course is entirely up to you. You can either hang out at the bottom for a while to get your bearings, or you can see how fast you can reach the top.
Seven zip rails, totaling nearly 700 feet of suspended track, are intertwined throughout the course.
You can hop on wherever you'd like, as everyone is outfitted with a harness on the ground.
For an extra fee, you can test your skills on the new climbing walls.
Each structure is shaped differently, so climbers get to experience several unique challenges.
While the original course isn't suitable for children under 42" tall, the Tykes version was designed with them in mind.
It features similar challenges as Twisted Trails, right down to the miniature zip rail. Because of this, the little ones won't feel left out.
