You'll feel the bubbling anticipation rising as soon as you walk through the gates. This isn't your typical State Park, and you have to see it to believe it. Hop in the car and get ready for adventure. The drive will fly by in a flash.

This is the best way to explore the 100 acres of primitive lands. Bring your own horse, or embark on a guided tour! Eagle Eye Ranch Carriage Company is conveniently located near the park, and they offer some spectacular excursions.
There are over 20 miles of trails.
The outside world will feel hundreds of miles away. As you stroll through the shady pathways, you'll halfway expect to hear a roaring Pterodactyl flying overhead. Of course, you're more likely to run into white-tailed deer, rabbits, and beavers. If you're truly lucky, though, you may spot a vibrant golden-cheeked warbler.
The shimmering water has dazzled creatures for millions of years.
About 113 million years ago, this land looked completely different. It was was part of an advancing and retreating sea, and prehistoric creatures freely took advantage of the abundant water source.
The land is full of fascinating history.
About 6,000 years ago, Native Americans lived in this area and took advantage of the water and game. In the 1850s, Anglo settlers turned the land into a small community.
In 1909, there was a truly marvelous discovery.
George Adams, only a small boy, discovered these unusual three-toed footprints while strolling through the land one day. Soon, professionals flocked here to study them. They found even more footprints throughout the park. Today, guests can see both Theropod and Sauropod tracks. They are most prominent of dry days, and visitors can located them by using the state park's unique GPS mapping system.
On warm days, the water is full of happy swimmers.
