You'll find all the amenities you'll need at this beach that runs along Atlantic Avenue in Westerly.
Stroll down by the water's edge and enjoy the sound of the surf while the waves lap against your toes.
Swimming, body surfing, and boogie boarding are all popular activities at this coastal treasure. The surf is moderate with decent sized waves that make playing in the ocean fun for all ages.
Lifeguards are on duty from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. seasonally at the state park to keep the beach as safe as can be.
There's also a small playground on the beach when it's time to take a break from the ocean.
Kids love building sandcastles or just digging holes in the soft, white sand.
Enjoy a picnic or stop by the concession stand at the state park to grab a bite to eat.
You'll also find restrooms, showers, shaded gazebo areas, and a gift shop.
So lather on some sunscreen and grab your towel, there's nothing quite like a day at Misquamicut Beach.
