As winter descends on Oklahoma, it sure does start to look like the North Pole out there. After an ice storm, or on a snowy day, you might start watching for Santa and his reindeer...

4. The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge certainly looks like the North Pole in the winter.
5. A snowy day at Turkey Mountain is the perfect time to go sledding.
6. A quiet place for reflection at Woodward Park - the quiet stillness of the chilly air is wonderful.

9. When the temperature is particularly low at Lake Classen, steam rises into the cold air.
10. Heavy ice on trees makes them look surreal.
11. Rural Hopeton fields looks so vast when covered in a blanket of snow.
12. Lake Overholster is majestic in the winter.
13. Hopefully the animals at the Tulsa Zoo are cozy and warm.
14. A snowman makes Santa happy in the North Pole...why wouldn't it make Oklahomans cheerful, too?
15. We found the Oklahoma version of Santa's reindeer...these stately elk.
