The Osage Nation Heritage Trail begins in Ponca City and travels along Highway 60 to Bartlesville. It's a 70-mile route that is beautiful year-round, but magnificent in the fall.

Start your journey in Ponca City - a thriving town full of history and outdoor beauty. Tour Marland Mansion, visit Standing Bear Museum, or walk downtown and see many historical buildings.

Between Ponca City and Bartlesville you'll travel through Osage Hills, Pawhuska, Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, charming small towns, and beautiful landscape.

The stunning colors and landscape will take your breath away. Since the route is 70-miles long, you'll be driving, but we recommend getting out of the car and hiking.

Osage Hills is full of hiking opportunities and during the autumn months is filled with hills of color.

And the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve is just as lovely with the wild horses and buffalo.

As you take the drive through the prairie, get out of the vehicle and take a hike on the Prairie Earth Trail - a 2-mile self guided trail.

As you end your journey in Bartlesville, take the beautiful hike along Pathfinder Parkway.

It's filled with lovely hues of red, orange, and yellow and is perfect for a casual stroll.
