North Dakota has many absolutely lovely state parks scattered across the entire state. These parks include places like Lake Metigoshe State Park near the Canadian border, fill with marshes, ponds, and of course the lake. Parks like Fort Ransom State Park are nestled in a river valley and full of forest and meadows. There are also parks in the western region among the buttes of the badlands, such as Sully Creek State Park. That state park was captured from a new perspective, a bird's-eye view, last summer by a drone and the footage is gorgeous.
This breathtaking drone video captured an aerial view of Sully Creek State Park in North Dakota.
Sully Creek State Park is located in the southwest corner of North Dakota among the impressive badlands. Though one of the state's smaller parks, it is popular for campers, horseback riders, bikers, and hikers. It is nestled right along the Little Missouri River and the campgrounds get a fantastic view of the water. It is a seasonal state park open from spring to fall each year.
The video shows the river, towering buttes, and even a glimpse of the nearby popular tourist town: Medora, North Dakota.
Sully Creek State Park is just minutes away from Medora, another reason why it's so popular. You can experience a bit of everything to do with the badlands all in one place!
