If there's one thing we are blessed with in the Empire State, it's trails. There are so many scenic New York hikes we couldn't begin to list them all. If summer's feeling a little hot, you'll want to find one that will allow you to cool off after traversing the trails. Grab your bathing suit and head to Enfield Falls. There's a short, easily accessible hike that will lead you to pure bliss! This waterfall swimming hole in New York is an adventure you're going to want at the very top of your summer to-do list!

Enfield Falls Swimming Hole in New York will hit the spot. It's located right in the lush green forests of Robert H. Treman State Park in Ithaca.
There’s a short and very easy trail to get to the falls.
From the parking lot to the swimming area is only a .4 mile walk. The trail is paved, so its accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. There's only 16 feet total of elevation gain, so even notice hikers will find this trail very easy to do!
The hike will take you through a rugged gorge called Enfield Glen.
You will actually pass 12 different waterfalls until you reach the swimming hole. One of the falls is called Lucifer Falls, and it stands at 115 feet tall!
If you want more of a workout before you cool off in the swimming pools, there are nine miles of trails nearby to explore.
Take any of the trails in Robert H. Treman State Park for a wonderful adventure. And when you finish, have a picnic by the water and go for a swim.
If you find yourself unable to leave this magical oasis, that’s okay!
There are tent and RV campsites, and even a cabin to rent. Spend the whole weekend enjoying this beautiful area.

There is an entrance fee charged per car that enters the park. If you have an Empire Pass, you'll have unlimited day use access to all of New York’s forests, beaches, trails, and more.
