The winter season here in New Hampshire is one that always seems to feel longer than any other, often leaving us feeling more than anxious for warm weather once we find ourselves at the end of this season. With springtime just around the corner, you may be starting to plan out all of the amazing day trips and adventures that you'll take here in the Granite State. Well, before your calendar gets too full for the year, you're going to want to mark down how this small-town farm and garden lets you pick your own flowers once everything's in bloom! Feeling ready to dive right into the season? Then allow us to introduce you to Rosaly's Garden.
Down in southern New Hampshire, where you're not too far from our state border, you can find Rosaly's Garden tucked away within the small town of Sharon.
Open for the year between May and October, Rosaly's Garden and Farmstand is a delightful little attraction that's picture-perfect and worthy of pulling over to explore.
Each year, throughout their operating seasons you'll find all sorts of herbs, plants, produce goods for sale here at the farmstand that you can swing by to grab on your way home.
One of our favorite reasons to visit Rosaly's Garden and Farmstand though is to pick up freshly-cut flowers.
Here at Rosaly's you'll be able to stroll through an entire acre of flowers, a colorful sight that will sweep you up off of your feet each spring and summer.
For those who are coming to pick your own flowers, you’re encouraged to bring your own containers if you can, with buckets and pails that are about one to five gallons working the best.
Throughout Rosaly’s Garden, you’ll be able to walk among and pick for different flowers like Zinnias that come in several varieties and colors, Pink and White Cosmos...
...Purple, Blue, Yellow, and White Statice, as well as Sunflowers that come in all sorts of colors that range from maroon to gold! The U-Pick flowers here are priced by weight, costing $12 dollars a pound, but there are two exceptions: Sunflowers and Hydrangeas that cost only $1.50 per stem.
Rosaly's has even been known to grow edible flowers that you can pick to take home with you, how tasty!
If you've never experienced what it's like to pick your own flowers, you'll want to be aware that picking your flowers first thing in the morning is best, with afternoon being a close second - so the earlier you can schedule your reservation to come pick here, the better.
If you don't quite have the time to spend a morning picking flowers, Rosaly’s Garden offers to pick flowers for you, where you can grab flowers for $15 dollars a pound or $2 dollars a stem for the Sunflowers and Hydrangeas - unless you buy 8 or more, then you’ll be charged only $1.50 .
