After a long, cold Minnesota winter, it is finally spring again. The sun is out, birds are chirping, and the temperature is slowly making its way back up again. It's hard to resist the urge to go outside and enjoy it. Luckily, there are many places all around Minnesota where you can do just that. Some of these spots are especially good in the springtime when flowers start to come out and baby animals are roaming around. In St. Paul, Minnesota, Crosby Farm Regional Park falls into this category. Signs of spring are on display every year in this park. Walk its trails to discover what makes this season great. Here's what you need to know:
Crosby Farm Regional Park is a 736-acre park along the Mississippi River in St. Paul, Minnesota. The park started as a farm in the 1800s, later becoming public land.
Thanks to its location on the river, the park is full of natural beauty. The wooded areas next to the river are great spots to get some peace and quiet.
Marshy areas around Crosby Lake are also worth seeing. It's easy to spot wildlife, such as birds and insects, in this area. In the spring, baby geese and ducks make homes here.
Springtime also brings wildflowers to the park. Along the nearly 7 miles of paved trails, you're likely to spot at least one or two varieties.
They will add plenty of color to your spring walk. Not only that, but they often draw in butterflies and other beautiful insects!
Other amenities at the park include picnic tables, BBQ grills, and a large shelter that can hold about 50 people.
This beautiful park is full of quiet, beauty, and signs of spring! This year, plan a springtime walk through it to see for yourself.
