The Cannon Valley Trail is a 20-mile trail in southern Minnesota. It takes travelers on a path from Cannon Falls to Red Wing, with other access points along the way.
The Cannon Valley Trail is a rail trail, meaning it follows the route of an old railroad. It was later converted into a paved path and quickly became a popular trail for hikers, bikers, and more.
The entire length of the trail leads through a scenic part of southern Minnesota. Travelers on it will be led over picturesque wooden bridges…
…and alongside lovely sections of farmland.
There are also some quietly beautiful prairie views of wide-open, grassy fields.
