If you’re searching for a family-friendly outing that will allow you to get outside and take part in a classic activity, look no further than this charming trout farm.
Spring Valley Trout Farm is located at 12190 Island Lake Rd in Dexter.
This unique spot has drawn in visitors for 50 years, first opening its doors back in 1970. When you’re searching for summer fun, Spring Valley belongs on your bucket list.
While “trout farm” is in its name, this serene locale actually classifies itself as a park where fish can be caught. There are 20 acres of lovely land to appreciate here.
Of course, fishing is at the heart of Spring Valley. Visitors can toss their lines into a series of spring-fed ponds stocked with fish that are grown right here on the farm.
From rainbow trout to catfish, there are all sorts of fish in the pollution-free bodies of water at Spring Valley. In fact, the farm guarantees that you’ll make a catch here.
Admission to the property costs $5 per person, while any fish you catch will be paid for by the pound. The cost of admission includes bait and poles for your convenience.
For an extra cost, you can even have the fish you catch cleaned and deboned. Make a full meal out of it by using the on-site grills and picnic areas provided on site.
When you’re looking for an out-of-the-ordinary day trip to enjoy with loved ones in Michigan, be sure to consider Spring Valley Trout Farm. You’ll adore every acre.
