Formally known as Lake Mahkeenac, Stockbridge Bowl is a gorgeous body of water situated in the mountains above the village of Stockbridge. It’s surrounded by lush greenery and overlooked by Tanglewood, the renowned summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

This little mountain lake is hugged by the peaks of the Taconic Range to the west and north and the charming Berkshire Hills to the east. You can get an incredible view of the lake and the Housatonic River plain from Monument Mountain to the north.
