There are several scenic overlooks in Maryland, all of which are quite stunning in real life. But depending on how steep, rocky, or particularly windy it is the day you're visiting, one wrong move could mean serious injury or death. 1. King and Queen Seat

2. Sugar Loaf Mountain

3. Chimney Rock at Catoctin Mountain Park
Chimney Rock is one of several scenic overlooks at Catoctin Mountain Park. It's the most appealing because of the obvious ability to sit on the rock while taking in the glorious sights around Thurmont. Website
4. Gambrill State Park

6. Dan's Rock
