One of 21 state parks in Louisiana, Tickfaw State Park is a nature lover's paradise just waiting to be explored.
Located in Livingston Parish, this 1,200-acre state park has something for everyone including playgrounds, canoes/kayaking rentals, campsites, grassy areas to sprawl out on, ample fishing opportunities, and so much more.
Some of the main attractions to the park are the nature trails.
Nearly 5 miles of trails weave in and out of this incredible park, leading you on a journey through multiple ecosystems including swamps, forests, rivers, and marshes.
It's the perfect spot to check out of your everyday life for an hour or two and just surround yourself among the towering pines, beautiful cypress, and sounds of wildlife nearby.
The longest of the four trails, the River Trail, is a beautiful 3-mile-long boardwalk and gravel trail.
You’ll be immersed in some of Louisiana’s most beautiful natural scenery along your walk.
