We all know Kentucky is a picturesque state filled with rolling hills, farmland, climbing mountains, and gorges. Time spent outside in Kentucky is always fulfilling, but it's even better when supporting a local business. Situated in the gentle hills of Northern Kentucky, Brianza Gardens and Winery is a hidden gem that happens to be one of the most stunning properties in the state. Imagine sipping a glass of one of their specialties, gazing out over historic farmland that is now a delightful vineyard. You may still be in Kentucky, but this scenic winery will truly whisk you away to the vineyards of Italy.
The property that is now Brianza Gardens and Winery was purchased in 2010 by Tony Parnigoni. For generations, the land had been rich farmland and now the tradition of growth continues with this beautiful vineyard and gardens.
The name "Brianza" comes from the name of a little province in Italy, where the owner has traced his family roots.
Although you do feel as if you've been transported to Italy during a visit, the winery's location in Verona (also the name of an Italian city), is merely a coincidence.
Brianza Gardens and Winery has over 3,800 grape vines, as well as plantings of blackberry, black currant, and apple and pear tree.
They offer more than 12 award-winning wines in their tasting room, which is open to the public Tuesday - Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The winery also has a few surprising features, including a variety of events throughout the year and a few lovely accommodations for overnight stays.
You can check their calendar of events, available on their website (linked below), but Brianza often offers live music on Saturday evenings, learning opportunities, games, and food trucks.
Pack a snack or a light meal and enjoy an event and a bottle of wine.
They also have a cottage, a suite, and a bungalow available if you wish to make your visit an overnight excursion.
The wine and hospitality of the owner and staff are reasons enough to visit Brianza, but you'll fall in love with it thanks to the gorgeous property.
Take time to wander the grounds, admire the vines and perennials, and relax in this serene country setting.
Brianza Gardens and Winery is a dreamy destination in Kentucky that feels like a vacation in the vineyards of Italy.
If you're looking for a new place to relax or the perfect spot for a day trip, visit the little slice of heaven found at Brianza Gardens and Winery.
