One of my favorite ways to celebrate fall is at a pumpkin patch. Fortunately, here in Idaho, there are pumpkin patches all around the state that are perfect for a day trip with the entire family. Plus, some of the best pumpkin patches in Idaho not only feature pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, but they also host a myriad of activities from corn mazes to hay rides. In no particular order, here are just a few of the absolute best pumpkin patches in Idaho to enjoy in 2024.

1. Prairie Home Farm, Coeur d’Alene

Prairie Home Farm is one of the best pumpkin patches near Coeur d’Alene. This 100-year-old, 5-acre farm is where you can visit farm animals, enjoy family photo ops, and hunt for the perfect pumpkin. I recommend you also visit Lil Punkin Pie Co. while you are there. Here, you can try a farm-fresh fruit pie.

2. Lowe Family Farmstead, Kuna

Lowe Family Farmstead is one of the most popular fall destinations in Treasure Valley. Not only can you find the perfect pumpkin in the pumpkin patch but you can also become lost in the massive corn maze, go on a hay ride, grab treats from the candy cannon, visit the u-pick flower field, and so much more.

3. The Berry Ranch, Nampa

The Berry Ranch is a pick-your-own farm where you can search for pumpkins to take home with you. Located in Nampa, The Berry Ranch is family owned and offers fresh produce throughout the entire year. In addition to picking pumpkins, give yourself plenty of time to also pick tomatoes and sweet corn.

4. Shindig Farms, Nampa

You will never be bored at Shindig Farms on ID-54 and Scism Road. This pumpkin patch near me has something for everyone from straw mazes and slides to ziplines and jumping pads. Give yourself plenty of time to explore the pumpkin patch where you can even learn some fun facts about pumpkins and their growing process.

5. Kovick Kountry Farm, New Plymouth

Located in the small town of New Plymouth in Payette County you will find Kovick Kountry Farm, one of the best fall destinations in the area. At this farm, you will enjoy favorite fall activities like a kid’s zipline, corn box, and straw slide. Pumpkins are available by the pound and you can purchase corn stalks, straw bales, and other crafts as well.

6. Swore Farms, Pocatello

Swore Farms in Pocatello has been owned by the Swore family for more than 20 years. This is a popular place in southeastern Idaho for a fall day trip as you’ll find thousands of pumpkins to choose from — it’s definitely going to be a tough decision. There are tractor wagon rides and a corn maze that you certainly won’t want to miss as well.

7. U-Pick Red Barn, Idaho Falls

If you want to get into the fall spirit, U-Pick Red Barn is the place to go. Located in Idaho Falls, this pumpkin patch has something for everyone from pumpkin cannons and slides into corn pits to a straw maze and delicious food. Take either a train, tractor, or wagon hay ride, and then head into the massive pumpkin patch to find a large (or small!) pumpkin to take home with you.

8. Burley Straw Maze and Pumpkin Patch, Burley

Whether you are young or young at heart, you will find something to love at the Burley Straw Maze and Pumpkin Patch. You can get lost in the 8-foot walls of the straw maze or even put on a brave face and visit when it is haunted. You’ll certainly feel in the fall spirit after you have taken a wagon hayride to the pumpkin patch where you’ll find more than 20 different varieties of pumpkins.

9. Tubbs Berry Farm, Twin Falls

The entire family will love a visit to Tubbs Berry Farm in Twin Falls. Not only can you pick pumpkins right from the field, but you can visit the petting zoo, jump on the bounce pad, go on a hay ride, shoot the apple blaster, and get lost in the massive straw bale maze. And … this is just the beginning of things to do.
