A perfect example of this theory is Sondermann Park in Colorado. Clocking in at less than 100 acres, this beautiful park is tucked away on the west side of Colorado Springs, which makes it a hidden gem for many.
Within the city limits of Colorado Springs, you’ll find a hidden oasis of 97 acres known as Sondermann Park.
Tucked inside a shadow valley, this natural park offers seven different hiking trails to visitors, all of which have been dubbed easy.
Disappear from the urban happenings for an afternoon of wandering through the mountainous region of this unique park.
Sondermann is the perfect place to snag some fresh air and alone time as you meander along the trails past the small creek and various wildlife.
Depending on when you visit, you’ll also be able to see a ton of stunning wildflowers in bloom along the way.
Pets are welcome along the trail in this park, too, just make sure that they stay on leash throughout your journey.
