Here are some of our favorite spots...
Ojai Meadows Preserve
With 58-acres to explore, you can take your pick on how long or how short of a hike to experience. You'll have the opportunity to spot tons of wildlife, including a variety of birds, in this heavenly preserve made for nature enthusiasts.
Address: 1447-1601 Maricopa Highway, Ojai, CA, 93023
Ventura River Preserve
With over 1,500 acres of natural beauty, the Ventura River Preserve is a prime destination for some pretty epic hikes. In addition to those on foot, you may also encounter folks riding horseback as there are some mixed-used trails within the preserve. Address: 1290 Meyer Road, Ojai, CA, 93023
Los Padres National Forest
With the Los Padres National Forest nearby, you're guaranteed a wide variety of trails to satisfy your wandering spirit.
One of our favorites is this short but sweet hike on the Rose Valley Falls Trail that leads to a little-known waterfall.
You can find the trailhead to Rose Valley Falls by first heading to the Rose Valley Campground. From there, you'll hike along a 1-mile trail to reach the base of a two-tier waterfall. It's quite refreshing to visit, especially on a hot SoCal day. Address: Rose Valley Lake Road, Ojai, CA, 93023
