For the past 50 years, the Western Heritage Center in Billings has been educating the masses on all kinds of Montana facts, many of which you won’t see in your history books. The Western Heritage Center is located at 2822 Montana Avenue in Billings, in a historic library building.

While the building has been updated, it still has plenty of historic charm, making it a perfect spot for such a place. In fact, it's listed on the the National Register of Historic Places.
Inside, you'll find an abundance of resources for learning about local history.

There's a collection of over 400 oral histories and 40,000 historic artifacts and photographs within these walls.
The museum also has rotating interactive exhibits, twelve traveling displays, and walking tours.

There are 8-10 exhibits each year, so you'll want to come more than once.
