The center offers a variety of dig programs for all ages during the summer months. The rainy season tends to last from May to mid-June, and after Labor Day weekend, it starts to get too cold to dig.

There really is something uniquely beautiful about this part of Montana, which lies just southeast of Glacier National Park.
Although you can only dig for fossils in the summer, the center itself stays open all year long.

From October through April, you can visit on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (give them a call at 406-469-2211 to confirm, as hours occasionally change). In the summer, the center stays open every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
