The Iceberg Lake Trail isn't short -- in fact, it's over 9 miles in total.
But most of the trail is well-marked and relatively easy to navigate, earning the hike a moderate ranking.
The trail starts in the Many Glacier area of the park, near the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn.
You'll find the trailhead at the northwest corner of the Inn area.
Prepare to see rugged sights that will have you feeling like you've been hiking for days.
If you time it right, you might enjoy some true solitude.
The lake itself is absolutely breathtaking.
You'll want to have your camera ready.
Iceberg Lake is an emerald lake with floating icebergs, surrounded by 2,000 foot cliffs.
It's incredibly unique.
It's really no wonder that this is considered to be one of the best hikes in America.
Put it on your summer bucket list. It's a lengthy hike, but you can relax at the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn that evening with some huckleberry ice cream.
Have you ever hiked this stunning trail? It’s one of the many (many) things that make
Glacier National Park so awesome.
