Venture just under 30 miles south of Troy for a hike on the one-mile loop through the magical forest of the Ross Creek Cedar Grove Scenic area.

For a lower-key, relaxing type of activity, experience the Bull River Valley Scenic Drive, which stretches for over 30 miles through forest and meadows, past streams and lakes, with breathtaking panoramic views of the Cabinet Mountains.

Expect no more than an hour's drive each way. If time permits for another drive, there's also the Yaak Loop Scenic Route. It's a bit longer at 96 miles long, but you'll get glimpses of the Yaak River and Falls along the way.
