The Jawbone Is A Fine Dining Restaurant Hiding In A Tiny Town In Montana
Nearly every Montanan has had the experience of deciding to stop for a bite in a small town and discovering a charming little dive bar or diner with decor older than their grandparents and the most delicious burgers. And while that is always a delightful adventure, what’s even more surprising is discovering a high-end cocktail lounge and trendy eatery inside an old building in a tiny town of 934.
The Jawbone is a speakeasy, cocktail lounge, and high-end tapas restaurant in White Sulphur Springs, but it looks straight out of the heart of a big city. And it’s fantastic.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

You'll find The Jawbone's building on East Main Street, but make sure to follow the signs for the entrance. It isn't called a speakeasy for nothing.

Both Cassie and Amber just graduated from college, but they've been working on the idea for The Jawbone since they were 19. Their mother, who owns Bar 47 across the street, suggested they apply for a liquor license. The restaurant and lounge officially opened just in time for the Red Ants Pants Festival in 2018.

The sisters wanted to create an experience that goes way beyond a standard night out in White Sulphur Springs, and they've succeeded -- this is clearly a hot date night spot and a perfect place for a ladies' night out.

Ayrlahn Johnson is the newest head chef, and he's quite creative.

You can expect your perfectly presented meal to look almost too pretty to eat (almost).

Sometimes the cuisine can be quite a bit different than what the locals are used to, but Cassie and Amber love it when guests try something out of their comfort zone.

They're open from Thursday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. or 10 p.m. for dinner, drinks, and celebrating special occasions.
