These 7 Tasty Taco Trucks Are So Worth Chasing Down In Montana
The USA’s version of the taco truck was apparently invented in 1974 by a genius named Raul Martinez, who converted an old ice cream truck into a mobile taqueria in Los Angeles. The trend obviously caught on, and now you’ll find some fantastic food trucks right here in Montana. These seven serve especially scrumptious tacos.
1. Los Jarochos (Bozeman)
You'll find the Los Jarochos truck parked on Main Street from Wednesday - Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. The food is so scrumptious and so popular, the truck team is planning to open a restaurant later this year!
Address: 915 West Main Street, Bozeman, MT, 59715
2. Cruz Tacos (Missoula)
Missoula's food truck scene is second to none, and Cruz Tacos is no exception. Between the freshly fried corn chips and housemade salsa, you'll be addicted. If you see this truck at a local event, don't pass it by.
3. Taqueria Las Palmitas (West Yellowstone)
Technically this is a taco
bus, and it's absolutely fantastic. Taqueria Las Palmitas is a popular stop for families on their way to Yellowstone National Park, and there's no better way to fuel yourself for a day of exploring nature.
Address: 21 North Canyon Street, West Yellowstone, MT, 59758
4. El Rodeo Taco Truck (Bozeman)
El Rodeo serves so much more than tacos (although their street tacos are legendary). It's easy to see why this place has rave reviews.
Address: 2121 West Main Street, Bozeman, MT, 59718
5. Mi Pueblito Taco Bus (Big Sky)
Clearly, we love our taco buses here in Montana! And everyone who tries the food here seems to fall in love with it.
Address: 1567 Lone Mountain Trail, Big Sky, MT, 59716
6. S&M Taco Truck (Whitefish)
You won't find the standard street tacos served from this yellow truck - at S&M, it's all about creativity (and sometimes meat on sticks). You'll find this truck parked outside breweries and at farmers markets in the Whitefish area.
7. La Fiesta Mexicana (Dillon)
Many a Montanan has claimed that the best tacos in the state are served from this bus. We're not ones to get in the middle of such a debate, but you should really try them for yourself and find out.
Address: 510 North Montana Street, Dillon, MT, 59725
