Scissorbills Saloon Is A Ski-In Bar In Montana And It’s Truly One-Of-A-Kind
Is it just us, or does Big Sky somehow keep getting better? Not only is it one of the top winter destinations in the entire country (and naturally beautiful in any season to boot), but the small town is home to a legitimate ski-in bar. And, aside from the fact that you can ski right in the back door of Scissorballs Saloon, this bar and eatery serves some absolutely delicious food.
Scissorbills Saloon is located in the Big Sky Mountain Village.
You'll find the entrance at the base of the resort, which is why it's such a popular ski-in destination.
Scissorbill is an old Western term that referenced greenhorn ranchers who didn't know what they were doing.
Luckily, everyone here seems to know exactly what they're doing.
The eatery is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, but that wasn't always the case.
When the business first opened, they could only afford to be open to the public seasonally.
Locals love this bar not only for the ambiance, but for the outstanding food.
The all-American classic entrees here, like wings and burgers, are addictive.
There's nothing like sinking your teeth into a juicy burger after a long day of skiing at Big Sky Resort.
But as tasty as the burgers are, make sure you try the nachos at least once - they're legendary.
The best days to visit Scissorbills Saloon are definitely Thursday through Sunday, when you can enjoy live music with your meal.
The music kicks off in the afternoon, and it's always amazing.
If you're planning to visit Big Sky this winter, ski into this local hot spot and see why it's such a beloved hangout.
Hours vary, but on the weekends, the bar is always open until 2 a.m.
Scissorbills Saloon is a definite must-see is Big Sky. And while you’re there, check out this bar as well.
