Given Montana’s vast size, it makes sense that one of the best ways to explore the state is by going for a nice, relaxing drive. That being said, we also have plenty of amazing spots to explore on foot. When you’re ready to park the car and stretch your legs, just head to one of these beautiful places.
This beautiful waterfall is located near Gallatin Gateway, and you'll only have to walk about 3/4 of a mile to reach it. This is a gorgeous place to have a picnic on a warm day, and it looks amazing when it's frozen in the winter.
Although walking around this former battlefield is a somber experience, it's also an important part of our history. You'll find the monument on Frontage Road in Crow Agency.

This tiny town that sits at the foot of the Mission Mountains in the heart of the Flathead reservation is simply breathtaking. And speaking of breathtaking, the St. Ignatius Mission, which dates back to 1891, has 58 gorgeous hand-painted murals inside.
