The One Of A Kind Boat Adventure You Can Take In Montana
Boating is a favorite pastime in Montana, but not everyone can (or wants to) own one. Luckily, there’s a one-of-a-kind boat adventure you can book, which will cruise you around the beautiful Flathead Lake. Here’s why you should make a Far West Boat Tour part of your summer.
Located in Northwest Montana, Flathead Lake is one of the Treasure State's finest gems, with people coming from all over the country to see it.
Far West Boat Tours offers the chance to get an up-close-and-personal look.
The daily cruises are offered at 1:00 p.m. daily as well as 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The boat ride lasts about an hour and 45 minutes.
The Far West is perfect for seeing the beauty of the Flathead in a whole new way.
The boats travel south along the shore before turning north in an arc, traveling across the lake back to the marina.
Each cruise costs $22 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Kids under 6 can ride free.
Guests are encouraged to bring coolers with beverages and picnic food, or takeout orders from The Docks Restaurant, which is next to the marina.
During the summer, Far West also hosts a variety of cruises with live music, which is included in the $22 ticket price.
Their website lists the lineup of bands, which includes Latin, jazz, bluegrass, and Caribbean jams.
Whether or not you own a boat yourself, you'll love cruising across the lake on a Far West Boat Tour.
You can also charter your own private cruise or take a boat over to Wild Horse Island for the day.
